I love reading books, listening to books, and am currently writing what I believe will become a book. Even if I’m the only one who will read and hold it. What’s a book that’s speaking to you right now? Create multiple threads for multiple books, then let’s see where the conversation goes!
I’ll get us started, then you jump in!
Our story comes together as a tapestry, yours and mine. The thread, the fabric, the arrangement, the colors, the patterns. Our stories are intertwined. Which stories are talking to you? What resonates?
Love love love love that this gift from my husband was more magical than I could have possibly imagined. Magical is my way of describing something that speaks directly into my soul. Or that I understand, but it's too hard to explain. It's magic. Hakuna Matatta!!
Another gift from my husband. We were watching Norm MacDonald Has (had) a Show and Drew Barrymore came on as the guest. Their time together, the way she spoke with him, without knowing he had cancer, him knowing he did. She talked to him like a human, and we watched knowing what he knew. That's very poetic. It's very profound. And her book speaks to the beauty of her soul. She's an actor. And she's other things. She weaves a story of who she is very beautifully. I appreciate her vulnerability. I feel braver because I read this.
An entertaining cookbook??! Yes please! This book taught me all the OTHER ways I can use my slow cooker. Like baked potatoes? Wrap in foil. Stab? Or stab, then wrap in foil. Whatever. Throw them in, turn it on. Voila!
Watermelon on a burger? Let alone GRILLED watermelon? Okay, we'll try it. YUM! Messy, but yum! Lots of fun new ideas for what can be modified however you need! Meat, no meat? Add/remove/modify? It's a recipe book, but it's also a starting point. Modify as you see fit!
